Active substance: mesterolone 25 mg
Excipients: magnesium stearate, crospovidone (Kollidon CL), ludipress (lactose, polividone, crospovidone).

Description of the Steroid:
White or white tablets with a yellow hue, square shape, upper and lower flat surface, and woven edges, with a dividing line and inlay “MP” on one side and with the inscription “25” on the other face, lateral surface with rounded edges.

Pharmacodynamical Properties
It compensates for the androgen secretion insufficiency, stimulates the development of male sexual organs and secondary sexual characters, increases libido and potency; manifests anabolic action, increases the amount of protein, which accumulates in tissues, especially in muscle tissue; accelerates bone growth and closure rate of epiphyses; stimulates erythropoiesis.
In the recommended doses does not reduce spermatogenesis. The preparation does not have hepatotoxicity.
Pharmacokinetic properties:
After internal administration, fast and practically complete mesterolone is absorbed in the dose range of 25-100mg. The maximum plasma concentration – 3.1 +/- 1.1 mg / ml is achieved over 1.6 +/- 0.6 hours after administration of the preparation. The half-life is 12-13 hours. In the blood, approximately 98% is coupled with plasma proteins – 40% with albumin and 58% – with globulin. Mesterolon is rapidly metabolized. It is eliminated with urine only as metabolites. The basic metabolite is 1B-methyl-androsterone in conjugated form, which constitutes 55-70% of metabolites eliminated with urine. Another metabolite is 1a-methyl-5a-amdrostan-3a, 17B-diol, constitutes about 3% of metabolites eliminated with urine. About 80% of the administered dose is eliminated in the form of metabolites with urine, and about 13% – with feces.
Therapeutic indications
Hypogonadism; psycho-vegetative disorders and decreased work capacity related to the reduction of sexual potency, male sterility (in oligospermia and Leydig cell insufficiency); aplastic anemia.
Dosage and Mode of Administration
The tablets are administered whole, without being chewed, with a sufficient amount of liquid.
In the psycho-vegetative conditions and the decrease of the work capacity related to the reduction of the sexual potency: each 75mg daily until the improvement of the condition, later each 25-50mg per day for several months.
In hypogonadism: for the development of secondary sexual characteristics – 50-100mg 3 times daily for several months; in maintenance therapy – 50mg 2-3 times daily.
In male sterility (for improving sperm quality and quantity): 50mg 2-3 times daily during a spermatogenesis cycle (90 days); after an interval of several weeks – repeated.
In post-pubertal insufficiency of Leydig cells: 50 mg 2 times daily; treatment cure – several months.
In aplastic anemia (to stimulate erythropoiesis): 50-100mg 3 times daily.
Proviron Side Effects
Hepato-biliary disorders: Rare: benign or malignant changes of the liver. Disorders of the genital tract and sinus: Sometimes – erection too frequent or too long (disappears when reducing doses or stopping the preparation).
Overdose
In acute overdose, the toxicity is quite low.
In chronic overdose, it is possible to develop priapism. In this case, it is necessary to discontinue the administration of the preparation, and after the disappearance of the symptoms – to resume the treatment in lower doses.
